Of all forgotten old search engines, Excite has come up with an absolutely amazing service, which translates the complete webpage from Japanese to English. Instructions:
Go to this page: http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/web/
1) Type the address to the Japanese webpage you want to browse in English.
2) Change the bullet in the radio button to “Japanese to English”
3) Click on the yellow “Go” button
Not only does the page appear in English, you can continue to browse around on the page and the translator will continue to work.
For me, a new world opened up. Pages I have tested and work well are:
